The questions owners actually ask
About PEOs
Will my employees notice anything?
They will see a different name on payroll documents and usually get better benefits options and a self-service portal. Day-to-day work does not change. Communication at transition is standard and we help with it.
Do I lose control of my company?
No. Hiring, firing, pay, and management stay with you. The PEO handles administration under a contract that spells out exactly who does what.
How long does it take to join a PEO?
Typically a few weeks from signed agreement to first payroll, often timed to a month or quarter boundary for clean filings.
Can I leave if it does not work out?
Yes, under the notice terms in the agreement. We flag exit terms in every comparison because you should know the way out before you walk in.
About cost and the math
What does a PEO cost?
It is quoted per employee per month or as a percentage of payroll, and the honest total depends on your headcount, wages, states, and benefits. Our cost page explains structures, and the calculator computes your actual number.
Is the calculator really free?
Yes. No account, no gate. The report is yours whether or not we ever talk.
Where does the calculator's math come from?
The tax computation is computed from current federal and state law, with sources shown, and it labels every input by who supplied it. It is built to be checked by your accountant, not taken on faith.
About working with us
What does a broker cost me?
Nothing out of pocket. We are compensated by the PEO you choose, the same way regardless of which one, which is what keeps the advice independent. The full explanation is on our How We Work page.
Why not just go to a PEO directly?
You can. Direct means one company's pitch and one company's pricing. A broker puts several against each other on your behalf and knows where the bodies are buried in the contracts.
Which PEOs do you work with?
Multiple national and regional providers. The match depends on your industry, states, and size, and we will tell you why we shortlist who we shortlist.
